Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) Wednesday cancelled two trains and partially cancelled two others due to pending modernisation work.
The cancelled trains are Sambalpur-Koraput-Sambalpur Passenger (58301/58302) from both directions and the Sambalpur-Junagarh Road-Sambalpur Passenger from both directions (58303/58304).
The trains which were partially cancelled are Bilaspur-Titlagarh-Bilaspur Passenger (58214/58213). It will run between Bilaspur and Sambalpur, and will be cancelled between Sambalpur and Titlagarh in both directions.
Similarly, the Bhubaneswar-Bolangir-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express (12893/12894) will operate between Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur, and will be cancelled between Sambalpur and Bolangir from both directions.
“As safety-related modernisation work is being executed between Dungripalli and Khaliapalli railway stations in the Sambalpur-Titlagarh Railway Section in connection with construction of limited height sub-ways, it has been decided to cancel two pairs of passenger trains and partially cancel a passenger train October 24,” the ECoR said in a statement Wednesday.
