Bhubaneswar: Two passenger buses were gutted in a fire near Khandagiri here in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to sources, the buses were lying abandoned for some days behind a petrol pump in Khandagiri. Last night, they caught fire and were completely gutted.
While the cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the vehicles might have come in contact with the overhead 11KV wires leading to the fire.
Fire personnel reached the spot and doused the fire. The police have also launched a probe into the incident.
