Angul: A youth sustained bullet injuries after being shot at by some unidentified miscreants at Santhapada village of Talcher area in Angul district Saturday night.
The injured has been identified as Balaram Sahu of Ambapalas village near Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal.
According to reports, Balaram was returning from Balaramprasad after completing some business-related work on his motorcycle when the incident occured. A group of unidentified miscreants chased him and intercepted him near Santhapada village and fired three rounds of bullets.
Sahu who sustained bullet injuries on his shoulder and chest had been rushed to Mandapala Hospital by some locals. Later, he was shifted to Angul District Headquarters Hospital.
Police have started an investigation.
