Jharigaon: Days after a minor girl lost her life due to measles, a medical team Wednesday visited Cheptiamba village under the block and provided health services and medicines to measles patients.
According to sources, the minor was suffering from the disease for last two months and lost her life while undergoing treatment at Nabarangpur district headquarters hospital Monday, while 15 villagers including seven children are suffering from the disease now. Following the matter, a medical team of Jharigaon community health centre (CHC) visited the village Tuesday and reviewed the situation.
Later, a medical team visited the village and examined the patients before distributing medicines to them. The team also spread awareness on basic healthcare.
On the other hand, Dr Asutosh Mishra of Jharigaon CHC said of the nine patients, three were suffering from chicken pox.
