Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated international sand artists at the state Secretariat here, Tuesday. The artists were participating in the Sand Art Exhibition at Chandrabhaga on the occasion of the ongoing Konark Dance Festival. The five-day event will conclude Wednesday.
The Chief Minister presented the artists with shawls and bouquets in presence of Odisha Tourism Minister Ashok Kumar Panda, tourism secretary Vishal Dev and Odisha Lalit Kala Akademy president Sudarshan Pattnaik.
Notably, the Sand Art Exhibition at Konark has been a centre of attraction for lakhs of tourists and had 103 stalls. Sand artists from Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Japan and USA took part in it.
