Nilagiri: A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in Berhampur area under Nilagiri block in Balasore district Sunday.
A complaint in this regard was lodged with the police. The police registered a case and arrested the accused. The victim and the accused were medically examined. The accused Shakti Bisoi (18) of Rigidi in Dharampur panchayat had allegedly kidnapped the girl, who had gone to tuition classes December 12.
Her family members searched for her, but could not find her. They came to know that Bisoi had forcibly taken her away to Keonjhar. Her family reached Jadagan in Keonjhar Saturday and handed over the both to the police.
