Tamil superstar Suriya has starred in a variety of films in his illustrious career and has succeeded in his attempt at experimenting different genre.
One of his tremendous hit is the movie Ghajini which had Suriya playing an amnesia patient who is on revenge mode. This 2005 release was a superhit film in Tamil and was later remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan reprising Suriya’s role.
And going by the latest developments, there may be a sequel to Ghajini on cards soon. News has it that the producer of Hindi version Allu Arvind has registered the title Ghajini 2 in Telugu and Hindi which has created quite a buzz.
Reports reveal that the makers may soon make an official announcement about this. If this materialises, Ghajini 2 will the most watched out for sequel in Indian cinema after the recent 2.0. It will be interesting to see if the makers will go ahead with the project in Hindi and Telugu.
Ghajini was directed by A.R.Murugadoss and was an adaptation of Hollywood flick Memento. Both, Hindi and Tamil, films had Asin playing the leading lady while Pradeep Rawat played the antagonist.
The Tamil film was dubbed into Telugu and turned out to be a superhit project for the makers. Nayantara played a supporting role in plot. The music of the Tamil version was composed by Harris Jayaraj while the Hindi version had music by A.R.Rahman.
