Nabarangpur: In a bizarre incident, a man was left critical after his wife allegedly chopped off his genitals over suspected extramarital affair at Udayapur village under Tentulikhunti police limits of Nabarangpur district late Sunday night.
Sources said, the incident occurred while the man was asleep after dinner last night. Reportedly, the woman tied the hands and legs of her husband and severed his manhood with a knife.
Hearing his screams, family members woke up and first rushed to Tentulikhunti Community Health Centre (CHC). After preliminary treatment, he was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Nabarangpur.
A case in this regard has been registered at the Tentulikhunti Police Station and the accused woman has been detained.
