Bhubaneswar: A fire broke out at the Health & Family Welfare department office in Unit-VIII area here Saturday.
The fire that broke out on the second floor of the two-storey building is reported to have caused no casualty yet. However, sources said that the inferno that engulfed at least six rooms of the floor reduced a large number of files, documents and computer systems to cinders.
While the exact reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained, short-circuit is assumed to be the possible cause. Firefighters took immediate measures to douse the blaze, said sources.
The incident caused panic among the denizens as the Capital City witnessed second such incident on the same day with a fire breaking out at Apollo Hospital.
