Koraput: Six persons of a family sustained severe injuries when an auto-rickshaw they were traveling by on their way to attend a marriage reception party at Badel panchayat of Nandapur block in Koraput district, met with accident.
According to reports, Padalam Dalia, a resident of Kitaba village under Padua police limits, and his family members were injured in the mishap. The injured include Padalam Dalia (39), Lalita Dalia (30), Ananta Khara (35), Phulamati Khara (32), Balu Khara (37) and Suvadra Khara (32).
The local police rushed the victims to the nearest hospital at Lamataput.
The auto-rickshaw driver is said to have lost his control on the vehicle resulting it to crash against a roadside tree.
