Parlakhemundi: The state Excise Commissioner and Principal Secretary felicitated Gajapati district Excise department ASI, Kishore Chandra Rath, Saturday with a cup and certificate of merit for his achievements in athletics.
Earlier, he bagged many prizes in the state and national-level athletic meets.
Recently, Kishore has got bronze medal in 100 meters race in the age group of 50 years and above held in an athletic meet in Raipur. Moreover, he won a silver medal in triple jump and a bronze in long jump event while participating in the athletic meet at Guntur on behalf of the Odisha Master Athletes.
Kishore has also been selected to participate in a sports championship at Malayasia on behalf of the National Master Athletes’ Federation.
