Boudh: Two Class III students of a government school in Harabhnaga here were allegedly thrashed by their school teacher after they complained of a hair in their mid-day meal.
The matter came to light after the relatives of a student complained to the district education officer against the teacher.
As per the complaint, the students of Mahakudpalli School were having their mid-day meal Monday during which two Class III students complained of human hair in their meal. Following this, teacher Jasmin Kousal beat them mercilessly.
“My daughter was crying in pain, so I had to take her to the doctor. I seek action against the teacher so that she does not repeat the mistake,” said, Bimala Mahananada, father of one of the students.
Responding to the incident, District Education Officer Karuna Kar assured that action would be taken against the lady teacher if found guilty.
”I learnt about the incident recently. A probe will be launched into the matter. Action will be taken on the basis of the report,” Kar said adding necessary steps would be taken after the probe.”
