Bhubaneswar: A youth was allegedly murdered by some unidentified miscreants near Baramunda bus stand here Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Shiva Shankar Goud, 20, a resident of Tapovan slum here. He was a painter.
Goud along with one Lingaraj Reddy was on the way to distribute wedding cards of one of his friends when 10 to 15 miscreants intercepted him and stabbed him near Baramunda bus stand around 7.30pm.
Sources said Goud was one of the members of Biju Yuva Vahini.
A complaint has been lodged with Khandagiri police in this regard.
