Keonjhar/Dhenkikote: A man charred to death while he was sleeping inside a bus at Behera Sahi of Samantarapur village under Dhenkikote police limits in Keonjhar district late Wednesday night.
The identity of the man is yet to be ascertained, while the bus is reduced to ash.
According to reports, the bus carrying friends and relatives of a groom returned from the bride’s house to the groom’s village at 2.30 am.
While all the passengers alighted, a man slept inside the bus.
Suddenly, a fire broke out inside the vehicle.
On being informed the fire personnel and police reached the spot and doused the flames. But by then, the man had passed.
Ghatagaon SDPO and IIC started an investigation after registering an unnatural death case. Their primary investigation revealed that the bus was from Joda area.
Local residents were of the opinion that it might be the handiwork of some miscreants.
