Rain brings a lot of relief, a feeling that no one wants to remain untouched. Rain in hot summer is like a feeling of joy.
But, what if I say that there is an island where crabs fall from the sky during rain. Have you ever heard of the crab rain? Yes, it might sound strange, but it is true.
The incident was reported from Australia’s Christmas Island. The whole island turned red and was filled with crabs overnight after the rain. There were crabs everywhere, from highways to the houses, to forests, restaurants, bars, bus stops, roads and many places.
These crabs travel to the Indian Ocean on the other side of the forest from one end of the Christmas Island to reproduce each year. Roads become completely red due to these crabs.
Every year hundreds of thousands of crab dogs fall under the vehicles and die.
Australia’s Christmas Island shows a crowd of 12 million crabs every year.
This island is of 52 square miles and has a population of about 2000 people. In spite of this, a large number of people arrive to see these crabs.
