Founded by Asha Kamal Modi, Art Karat is one of India’s most celebrated silver jewellery brand that single handedly pioneered and revolutionised the concept of semi-precious designer jewellery in India and abroad.

The Mastani collection showcased a spectacular range of bridal jewellery with complete ensembles for brides including Maang Pattis, Jhoomars, Chokers, Satladas, Tagdis, Pajebs and Bichhias all of which were made of silver. The sets were studded with real gemstones and coated with 22k gold.

In 1988, Asha Kamal Modi started her business with a vision to create silver jewellery which would be so elegant and spectacular that it eradicates the irrational obsession of women with gold. She wanted to create jewellery would have been worn and not hoarded in lockers, jewellery that can be travelled with, jewellery that reflects one’s personality and not forced onto future generations.

She aimed to create sets which would be so elegant artistically that one would be proud to own it. It’s been over 30 years and the vision has finally come true. Asha will also exhibit some of her most recent works of art which she has just finished designing for the upcoming mega south-indian film titled Sye Ra Narsimha Reddy, starring Nagarjuna.

The Mastani collection would also be showcased in Kolkata on March 20 and 21 at Oberoi Grand. She has already conducted shows in USA, Canada and will showcase her collections in UK, Singapore, Dhaka and Dubai soon.

The essence of ArtKarat is defined by art, elegance and affordability. Asha’s vision was to create jewellery that would be accessible to all and her designs and price points reflect that. With more than 18 workmanships and over 1000 designs, the entire collection is priced between Rs. 2000 to Rs.50000.

The jewellery of Art karat has already been used in Hindi movies Devdas, Bajirao Mastani, Monsoon wedding, Zubeda and Kamasutra. One of the buyers said, “Asha Kamal Modi is an Inspiration. She has managed to bridge the gap between elegance and affordability. Another visitor Neha Khurania said, “I am smitten by the jewellery in Mastani collection. The designs are gorgeous.”
