BHUBANESWAR: Divine Dance and Music Academy organised its 19th annual day Rumble & Rhythm 2019 at Rabindra Mandap here Saurday.
Students of the academy participated in different forms of dance like Odissi, various folk dances and western among others.
Chandrika Dash, chief executive, Divine Dance and Music Academy, said, “We organise this event with the objective to promote dance culture in the state by imparting proper coaching to boys and girls in a very systematic and methodical approach in all forms of Odissi, classical and western dances. As of now, more than 1000 students of this institute have established themselves as successful dancers and some of them have even made their mark at the national and international scenario.”
The academy is on a mission to identify the inherent talents of small boys and girls, to impart them the proper coaching in a very healthy and serene atmosphere in the most technical and methodical way to achieve excellence in the field.
“Divinity is not outside, it is within the child. My effort is to make them discover the same and convert the small point of divinity to as vast as the infinity circle. Apart from making them established as eminent dancers, my motto is to focus on their personality development and character building which is undoubtedly the key for one’s success,” she added.
The chief guest of the occasion was Harihar Dash, finalist in the reality show ‘India’s Got Talent – 2012’. He will also perform at the event. 120 students who were selected in the talent-hunt programme will be felicitated on the occasion.
More than 500 students from across the state participated in the talent-hunt organised by the academy March 24. 120 among them were selected for the final round of the event. All of them will be honoured by certificates and trophies and some selected students will be given a cash prize of Rs 50, 000.
