Keonjhar: A six-year-old child was killed and 20 people were injured after a truck rammed into a bus from the rear in which they were travelling. The accident took place at the Kanjipani ghat area in this district late Wednesday night.
The victim has been identified as a resident of Pipilia in this district. Sources said, the bus was heading towards Rourkela when the mishap occurred.
Police on being informed reached the spot and carried out a rescue operation and the injured passengers were rushed to Keonjhar district headquarters hospital (DHH). Thursday morning two of them have been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.
