Baliapal: In separate incidents, two persons, including a woman, were electrocuted while one was critical in Baliapal area in Balasore Friday.
Reports said, the body of a farmer was found in a farmland at Pratapur. The deceased was identified as Rabindra Giri of Kaliakhia. It was stated that Rabindra inadvertently came in contact with a precariously hanging 11 KV transmission wire.
His family members have filed a complaint at the police station.
Another electrocution took place at Jamatkula village. MaheswarKulari was switching off his pumpset when she received a shock. She was critical and was rushed to Baliapal CHC.
However, doctors declared her dead on arrival. Police seized the body and started an investigation.
In another case, Bhaskar Rout of Badash village came in contact with a live wire in his farmland. He was critically hurt. He has received 70 per cent burns. He was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
