Kantamal: A differently-abled couple has been deprived of government scheme benefits at Para in this block of Boudh district.
Bulu Bagh and his wife Sabita Bagh have lost their right legs due to polio. The couple has two children.
They live in a hut while the other people in their area have got pucca houses under the Indira Awas Yojana. The couple has not been enrolled under the National Food Security Act.
Making several rounds of the block office for getting the benefits they are entitled to have yielded no results.
“It is difficult for us to manage our livelihood with only the pension money. Our condition does not allow us to do any kind of labour,” Bulu and Sabita said.
