Bhubaneswar, May 30: The Rama Devi Women’s Autonomous College, Khallikote Autonomous College and Gangadhar Meher Autonomous College would now be called universities as the state government Saturday issued the final notification in this regard.
As per the notification, Khallikote Cluster University will lead five colleges including Khallikote Autonomous College, Sashibhushan Rath Government College, Binayaka Acharya College, Gopalpur College and Government Science College, Chhattrapur.
Three officers on special duty (OSD) have also been appointed for each university, said sources. Professor of economics department of Utkal University Padmaja Mishra has been appointed the OSD for RD Women’s University while registrar of Berhampur University Manmatha Padhi has been deputed for Khallikote Cluster University.
Similarly, former registrar of Sambalpur University Sudhanshu Sekhar Rath has been appointed for GM University and IGNOU regional director, Sambalpur division, Srikant Mahapatra was appointed for the new Open University at Sambalpur.
