Mumbai: Sonal Chauhan, who was the lead heroine in the Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Jannat’ turned 32, Thursday. She incidentally belongs to a royal family in UP.
Here are some interesting facts about her.
Sonal was the first Indian to be awarded with the title of ‘Miss World Tourism in 2005’. She was first spotted in Himesh Reshamiya’s music video ‘Aap ka Suroor’.
In 2008, Sonal was honoured with the ‘Filmfare Best Female Debutant’ award for ‘Jannat’.
Sonal according to sources, has dated Neil Nitin Mukesh and Siddharth Mallya. He name has also been linked to Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz. Reports also state that she had an affair with Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dasani. Last year they were spotted together in many parties.
Sonal has featured in many TV commercials and also did photoshoots for magazines, for which she has been appreciated.
Sonal has a huge following of fans some of whom are crazy about her. On her 28th birthday, a fan sent her a bouquet of 8000 red roses without even mentioning his name.
Sonal was chosen for the ‘Jannat’ role by the director of the film, Kunal Deshmukh. He spotted Sonal in a restaurant and cast her.
Among other films Sonal has worked in are ‘Rainbow’, ‘Budha Hoga Tere Baap’, ‘Pehla Sitara’, and ‘Legend’. She was last seen in JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’.
