Bhograi: An obscene video of a 16-year-old girl went viral in Bhograi area of Balasore. It is believed that an engineering student with whom she had an affair had shot the video and made it go viral.
The family of the victim filed a complaint at the Talsari Marine Police Station Saturday.
IIC Tusil Majhi said the statement of the victim was recorded. After preliminary investigations a case will be registered.
Meanwhile, the family of the accused went absconding after they came to know of the police case.
The engineering student had lured the girl and had taken her to Digha. There he had physical relationship with her and had recorded it.
He tried to blackmail the girl later and also threatened her that he would upload the video if she breaks up the physical relationship with him. Police tried to contact the family of the accused in vain.
