Sajanagad: In a shocking incident, a man was found dead with his throat slit and genitals severed at Kesura village in Jamudiha panchayat under Nilagiri police limits in Balasore late Friday night. The deceased was identified as Bijay Singh (40). He was working as a security guard at the office of Munnaopuram Gold in Nilagiri.
According to reports, family members of Bijay had gone to his parental home along with children to attend the birthday celebration of a relative. He was alone at home last night.
Police suspected that some miscreants broke into the house and committed the crime, police suspected. His body has multiple injuries.
However, the reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained.
A neighbour found Bijay dead Saturday morning and intimated it to her wife Sumti.
His wife and brother-in-law found him dead. They filled a complaint at Nilagiri police station.
SP B Jugal Kishore and SDPO Sudam Charan Sahu along with a scientific team recovered the body and started an investigation. Four people were detained and interrogated at the police station.
“Why this murder was committed is not yet known,” said the SP.
