Barang: A 75-year-old man died following a snakebite at Giringaput village under Mendhashala police outpost limits here Tuesday.
According to sources, a cobra bit Adhikari Behera, 75, while he was asleep in the house in the wee hours. Behera’s family members came to know about the incident when he did not wake up in the morning.
They rushed Behera to a primary health centre at Mendhashala where doctors declared him dead-on-arrival. On being informed, police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem after registering an unnatural death case.
