Srinagar: An increasingly desperate Pakistan is trying to sneak in proxies into the Indian territory before winter sets in.
This was stated officially Wednesday by Lt Gen KS Dhillon of 15 Corps said this formally. He said that these proxies will try to disrupt peace in the Kashmir Valley. Meanwhile intelligence agencies have gathered evidence of a larger design of Pakistan sponsored ultras trying to enter India and leave a trail of bloodshed behind them according to sources Thursday. They said that members of the Pakistan Army and the ISI are trying major infiltration in the Valley.
As many as 18 terror camps and launch pads identified by the intelligence agencies have been drawn up where terrorists are getting trained or are ready to infiltrate through these hubs. Further, post Balakot, majority of the terrorists have been shifted out of this combat zone for fear of additional reprisals from the Indian side.
Intelligence report also revealed three new camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). Terror camps and launch pads have also been identified along the Line of Control (LoC) in POK. Prominent camps have been spotted in three sectors of the LoC.
Under Mansehra district in Pakistan, launch pads have identified at Balakot, Garhi, Habibullah, Batrasi, Chero Mandi, Shiwai Nala and Muskara. In Kotli area, terror camps and launch pads have been identified at Gulpur, Sesa, Barali, Dungi and Kotli. In A-3 sector, presence of terror camps has been found at Kali Ghati and Hazire.
Meanwhile intelligences sources confirmed Thursday that Pakistan has moved a brigade-sized force of around 2,000 soldiers to a location within 30 kms of the Line of Control (LoC) in PoK. The troops have been placed in the Bagh and Kotli sector in PoK.
“The troop movement could be a defensive move by Pakistan in the light of heightened tensions with India. The movement and location was confirmed through various intelligence sources including local inputs,” said a senior Army official.
The security establishment is keeping a close tab on the troop movements in Pakistan and is exploring if it poses any immediate threat to India.
The move by the Pakistan Army assumes significance in light of the fact that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has threatened in the recent past of a war-like situation developing between the two countries after India withdrew special status August 5 for Jammu and Kashmir.
