Sambalpur: Police recovered Friday the blood-soaked body of a lecturer of Mura College from his rented house near the college under Sasan police limits in this district.
The deceased has been identified as Hrudananda Pradhan. Family members alleged he had been murdered.
Sources said, Hrudananda had been staying alone in his rented accommodation. Not finding Hrudananda in the morning, some neighbours went to his flat and found the room latched from inside and locked from outside.
They grew apprehensive and informed the police. The police then with a forensic team and a sniffer dog reached the spot. They broke open the door and found the body of the teacher lying in a pool of blood.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem and have launched an investigation from various angels to ascertain the cause of Hrudananda’s death.
