Nimapara: Vigilance sleuths Monday raided the office and residence of assistant executive engineer of Nimapara Irrigation Department, Laxmidhar Biswal on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
Separate teams carried out raids at seven places including his residence at Nimapara, office, quarters and some places in Balanga and Puri town.
While the exact amount of assets amassed by the engineer is yet to be ascertained, the vigilance officials have seized a number of important documents.
The teams conducted raids under the direction of, DCP Sushant Kumar Panigrahi.
