Mumbai: It’s been close to a month since his death but Kedarnath actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has left a lot of questions unanswered. Fans, friends and family are still in shock.

Many still believe that it was not suicide, but a pre-planned manner. Fans have accused Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt for his death.

It is a known fact that Sushant and Rhea were more than just friends and were in quarantine together at his Bandra residence. However, Rhea had moved out of his house a few days before his death.

Even as fans blamed Rhea and Mahesh Bhatt for his death, Sushant wanted to help Rhea grab big projects. It is a known fact that Sushant was first in talks with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt for Sadak 2. However, for some reasons, he was not taken and the role went to Aditya Roy Kapur.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Sushant was keen on casting Rhea in the movie. Sushant wanted to cast Rhea in his romantic lead in this film and he also spoke to Mahesh in this regard. However, Mahesh finally signed his daughter Alia Bhatt in the movie.

According to a report, “This was long before Alia Bhatt came into the picture. Alia was not sure she would be able to spare the dates for Sadak 2. Mahesh Bhatt had called Sushant for the role that finally went to Aditya Roy Kapur. Sushant had shown an interest not only in his own part but also in getting Bhatt Saab to sign Rhea for Sadak 2.”

Later, Sushant persuaded his friend Rumi Jaffrey to cast Rhea and him in a film. Sushant was working hard to get Rhea to play the role.

“Sadak 2” marks the comeback of Mahesh Bhatt as director after over two decades. The film stars his daughters Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt along with Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Ever since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the discussion over the subject of nepotism in Bollywood has been revived and the Bhatts have been at the receiving end, among other Bollywood film families.

Alia and Mahesh Bhatt have also already faced netizens’ ire lately on social media.
