Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: Jasmani Samad scored four goals including a hat-trick to help Orissa thrash Chandigarh 10-0 in a match of the Junior National Girls’ football Championship at Goa, Wednesday.

Jasmani struck in the fifth, seventh, 44^th and 81^st minutes respectively to lead the goal rush. Anima Mallick (ninth, 90^th) scored a brace, while Sasmita Behera (24^th), Arati Sethi (47^th), Lahari Mangaraj (54^th) and Suman Pragyan Mohapatra (60^th) found the back of the net once each.

Warriors tame CAA

Riding on a hat-trick by Bikash Kumar Sahoo, Oriental Warriors drubbed Chandrasekharpur Athletic Association (CAA) 7-0 in a Group-A match of the Gati Krushna Memorial football tournament at the Unit-I Boys’ HS Ground here Wednesday.

Bikash scored in the 19^th, 25^th and 44^th minutes respectively. Iswar Chandra Das scored a brace in the fourth and 15^th minutes respectively. Mahesh Singh and Sarka Khan struck once in the 17^th and 50^th minutes respectively.

Thursday’s match: MS XI vs Mukteswar Sporting.

Team announced

Orissa cricket Association (OCA) announced a 16-member team for the Col CK Nayudu Trophy Plate Group B League match against Chhattisgarh at Bargarh, October 10-13. The team will be led by Ankit Yadav, while Ranjit Singh will be his deputy.
