Balasore: A minor brother duo was killed Sunday morning in a tragic road mishap on State Highway-57 at Satasulia Square under Kamarda police limits in Balasore district.

The deceased brothers were identified as 16-year-old Kishore Das and 11-year-old Swadhin Das from Banida area under Jaleswar police limits in the district.
According to a police source, the motorcycle which they were riding had a head-on collision with a dumper truck at around 8am.
The brothers had gone to a nearby market for buying a gift for a wedding ceremony they were expected to attend. Both were critically injured in the accident while they were returning home from the local market. Locals immediately rescued them and rushed them to a hospital for treatment where doctors declared them ‘brought dead’.
Meanwhile, driver of the truck managed to flee from the spot fearing reprisal by irate locals.
