Rourkela, Jan 20: In a shocking incident, three old men accused of impregnating a physically-challenged girl, were arrested and produced in court Tuesday. The accused identified as Narendra Mohapatra, Dwitikrushna Behera and Bhikaricharan Das belonging to Cooperative Colony here in Sundargarh district were subjected to medical examination at the Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH).
According to a complaint lodged by the girl, the accused, all retired employees of government and non-government sectors, had lured her into keeping physical relationship with them on several promises. They had been keeping physical relation with the disabled girl over last five years. When the girl experienced continuous pain in her abdomen, she apprised her family about her health. Her family took her to a hospital for a checkup and came to know that she was pregnant.
Later, the girl revealed the matter before her family and lodged a complaint with the police. Police registered a case under Sections 376 (D), 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code based on a complaint filed by the girl.
