Balasore: In a bizarre incident, three unidentified miscreants attacked a youth inside an ATM counter and looted Rs 35,000 from him at Soro area in Balasore district Sunday evening.

The victim named Ajay Barik of Sauda area in Balasore went to an SBI ATM counter located near Soro railway station. He withdrew Rs 35,000 from the ATM and was about to leave the place when three miscreants barged into the kiosk. As he was alone, they forcibly snatched his ATM card and threatened him to share the PIN.
When Ajay screamed for help, the miscreants beat him up and ran away with the cash of Rs 35,000 that he had already withdrawn.
Ajay lodged an FIR in this regard at Soro police station following which an investigation was initiated, the complainant stated.
Soro police officials assure that the CCTV cameras installed at the kiosk will help them apprehend the culprits.
