Bhubaneswar: Odisha cadre IAS officer Santosh Kumar Sarangi was Monday relieved from state services to join the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Sarangi was Principal Secretary to the State government, Science and Technology Department.
“In pursuance of Order No.-36/01/2021-EO(SM-I), Dated 25.03.2021 of Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS (OD-1994) at present Principal Secretary to Government, Science and Technology Department is relieved from the State Government with effect from 12.04.2021 (AN) to enable him to join his new assignments in Government of India as Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, New Delhi with additional charge of Chairman, National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi,” a General Administration (GA) Department notification (No.-GAD-SER1-IAS-0017-2016-11062/AIS, Dated 12.04.2021) issued in this regard read.

Manoj Kumar Mishra, Secretary (I/c), state Electronics and Information Technology Department with additional charge of CRC-cum-Special Secretary to Government, Commerce and Transport Department was allowed to remain in additional charge of Secretary, Science and Technology Department in addition to his own duties.
