Rourkela: The Rourkela police Monday busted a notorious gang of anti-socials with the arrest of three persons.
The police also recovered a huge cache of arms from the possession of the accused. The accused were identified as Basista Mohanty (22), Jangyasis Swain (27) and Amit Kumar Sahoo (32) – all residents of Rourkela, the police said.
Three pistols, 20 live ammunition, four detonators, 35 SLR ammunition, Rs 50,000 in cash, an SUV and two motorcycles were seized from their possession, said SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo.
“The trio is involved in murder, extortion, kidnapping and illegal arm deals, with several cases against their names,” said Bhamoo.
