Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Bhubaneswar, is the recipient of this year’s Award of Excellence for implementing best urban transport project, Mo Bus service in Odisha.
In a tweet, the CRUT Friday night informed this.
“Delighted to share that #MoBus has got Award of Excellence in Urban Transport by MoHUA, GoI in the category STATE/UT, WHICH HAS IMPLEMENTED THE BEST TRANSPORT PROJECTS IN THE PREVIOUS YEAR. Smt. Dipti Mahapatro, GM, CRUT, received the award on behalf of the org,” read the tweet.
The award was conferred on the CRUT by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs on the occasion of 14th Urban Mobility India Conference 2021 held in New Delhi yesterday.
225 Mo Buses are operating in about 35 routes and 50 per cent of Mo Bus conductors are women. These buses have some features like Automatic Vehicle Locating System, Automatic Fare Collection System, Public Information System, on-board announcement, WiFi and CCTV surveillance.
