Cuttack, Jan 9: The High School Certificate examinations (HSC) 2015 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Orissa, will start February 23 for regular candidates and end March 9, according to a notification issued by BSE here Friday.
The examination for ex-regular candidates will begin February 24 and end March 10, according to the notification.
A total of 5,92,281 candidates will appear in the examination, which will be held at 2,799 centres across the state, the notification added. Of the total students appearing in the examinations this year, 9,620 students are ex-regular and 4,417 are Madhyama, with the rest being regular students. Evaluation of answer sheets will begin from March 16, the notification said.
“We have selected 2,799 centres this year,” said BSE president Dakshya Prasad Nanda.
Nanda said candidates will enter the examination hall at 8.30 am while OMRC and question sheets will be provided to them at 8.45 am. The students will be allowed 15 minutes to go through the objective type questions after which the examination will begin.
“The objective type test will be of one hour after which the candidates will be provided the subjective question papers and given 10 minutes time before they start answering the questions within one-and-a-half hours,” he said.
