Berhampur: In a new twist in Dr Sumit and Tapaswini’s case, the former’s father Pramod Kumar Sahu soon left his house after Tapaswini Dash aka Dimple was given entry into the house in the presence of police as well as administrative officials at Brahmanagar locality in Berhampur Thursday evening.

Pramod cited that he felt insecure to stay in his own house after Tapaswini’s entry.

Meanwhile, Sahu also released a video in which he narrated in details the reason which compelled him to leave the house. The purported video has gone viral on social media since evening.

“Tapaswini has previously levelled dowry harassment charges against me and my family members due to which I feel unsafe and scared to stay in the house in her (Sumit’s wife) presence,” Sahu alleged.

“Despite lack of clarity in the order given by District and Sessions Judge Court in Berhampur, the local tehsildar and police protection officer allowed Tapaswini to stay in my house,” Sahu expressed.

“Ganjam district administration officials gave entry to Tapaswini into the house without my approval. There was apparent confusion regarding direction given by the Court. I sought a clarification from the police and local tehsildar, but they ignored it due to some pressure exerted by their higher-ups,” Sahu further said in the viral video.

“I have also requested Baidyanathpur police IIC to provide me security as Tapaswini earlier levelled false allegations against me and my family apart from filing a case under Section 498 (cruelty to women). I will go elsewhere and will decide to return later,” Sahu stated.

It is pertinent to mention, the Court allowed Tapaswini January 4 to live at her in-law’s house along with her husband Sumit. The court also directed Sumit to provide his legitimate wife (Tapaswini) alimony of Rs 17,000 on or before the 10th of every month, without fail.

Marital discord between Tapaswni and her medico husband Sumit was settled, albeit temporarily Tuesday – 44 days after the woman’s sit-in protest outside her in-law’s house. Later, she accommodated herself in a garage adjacent to the main building, despite court order granting her to stay with husband. She then alleged that the house provided by Sumit’s father was not at all suitable for a woman.
