Cuttack, Jan 12: Orissa eves suffered their second consecutive defeat as they were completely outplayed by Delhi in the second Elite Group-B match of the National Senior Women’s T20 cricket tournament in Pune, Monday.
Opting to bat first, Orissa could only score 112 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Barring Madhusmita Behera (33, 41b, 5×4) none of the others could contribute. Four Orissa batswomen were run out as they tried to force the tempo.
In reply, Delhi made a mockery of the chase as they overhauled the total in 18.4 overs for the loss of only one wicket. Opener Latika Kumari (79 n o, 65b, 10×4) hammered Orissa bowlers to all parts of the park to script an emphatic nine wicket victory for her team.
