Keonjhar: Locals prevented Monday an alleged act of kidnapping by a man who was traveling to Jamshedpur from this town with a minor girl. Other passengers detained the man at the Barbil bus stop suspecting something amiss and handed him to the cops at the police station in Barbil. The accused has been identified as Mohammed Dildar a resident of Banka town in Bihar. As per the information available, Dildar and the girl were traveling on the bus which goes to Jamshedpur.
However, locals noticed that girl was wearing her school dress under her burqa. When questioned, the girl narrated her plight and said that she was being forcibly taken by Dildar on the bus and that she had no idea where she was going. The passengers then stopped the bus at Barbil and took the minor girl and Dildar to the police station. Later on, Town police station IIC Sunil Kar said that police are investigating the matter. Dildar however, has not been arrested till the time of filing the copy, as no official complaint has been lodged against him. Police are also trying to ascertain the identity of the girl and are trying to contact her parents.
