Odisha approves nine new industrial projects worth Rs837.57 crores; know details

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Monday approved nine industrial projects with a cumulative investment exceeding Rs.873.57 crores, said an official source.

The 121st State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by state Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, these new industrial projects were approved, added the source.

Petronet LNG Limited’s compressed biogas and fermented organic manure plant with an annual capacity of 33,065 MT received the SLSWCA nod. This project promises a dual advantage of chemical production and renewable energy and would be located in Deogarh, the source said.

Pearl Precision Products Pvt Ltd joins the ranks with their plan for a plastic faucet, water tank, pipes, and fittings manufacturing unit with an annual capacity of more than 30 million pieces. This project will be coming up in Paradeep Plastic Park, Jagatsinghpur, the source informed.

In the Plastic sector, Indopet Polyplast Pvt Ltd will establish a high-capacity manufacturing unit for food grade pet bottles, jars and pre-forms, with an annual capacity of 8,000 MT in Khurda, added the source.

The Committee approved TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited’s comprehensive project of spanning 57,000 MT basic raw material grinding unit, 11,700 MT monolithic raw material grinding unit, 8,900 MT high alumina raw material grinding unit, and 14,400 MT grog processing unit in Jharsuguda. Another project in this sector approved by the SLSWCA is a South Korea company Chosun Sarvesh Refractories Private Limited’s 14,400 MT Tap Hole Clay unit to be located at Kuanramunda in Sundargarh district, the source said.

Saizar Enterprise Private Limited will be erecting a steel processing unit for Hot Rolled (HR) and Cold Rolled (CR) coils in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur, which will add to Odisha’s steel processing capabilities, the source added.

Vikram Private Limited’s expansion project for a 0.12 MTPA SMS and 0.1 MTPA TMT plant in Lahunipara, Sundargarh district also received approval. In the agro and food processing sector, Coastal Biotech Private Limited will establish a corn processing and corn starch manufacturing unit situated in Bamuni Industrial Estate in Nabarangpur district, the source informed.

The SNM Hotel And Resorts Private Limited will set up a hotel and resort facility in Chikiti in Ganjam district at an estimated cost of Rs 214.50 crores. Official source said as these projects move closer to fruition, Odisha will be poised to achieve new milestones in its journey of progress, powered by visionary industrial ventures.
