Bhubaneswar, Jan 15: Ten-year-old Meghali Malbika Swain, also known as ‘Google Girl’, has done it yet again. This time she has established three records with the Indian Book of Records (IBR) in Bhubaneswar, Sunday.
Meghali was supposed to recall the names of 1,000 rivers of world within nine minutes, 1,000 cities under 10 minutes, and 1,000 physical bodies under 12.
Calm and poised Meghali recited the names of 1,009 rivers in 7 minutes and 39 seconds, 1,010 cities in 9 minutes and 4 seconds, and 1,012 physical bodies in 11 minutes and 29 seconds.
The 10-year-old underwent a ‘spot adjudication test’ that was witnessed by the officials of IBR, Faridabad at IDCO Tower. As composed as she appeared at the event, Meghali recalled the names without fumbling even once that amazed everyone who attended her recorded breaking attempts.
“I was very sure that I would be able to say the names in individual categories within eight to nine minutes. I am happy that I have succeeded in doing so,” she said after setting three records.
The young girl now plans to rehearse 5,000 physical bodies from across the world within 50 minutes.
Biswadeep Roy Chowdhery, an adjudicator with IBR, was surprised as he said that no one had attempted for three records in a day. “She is an exceptional girl. The most interesting part is that she took less time than what we expected,” he said.
“At first, I and other adjudicators had thought that we would consider her for the record even if she takes three to four extra minutes as no one has ever attempted to set a record in this category. Now that she has established the unthinkable, it would be difficult for anyone to break it,” he states. Meghali’s intelligence amazed the official.
Her father Prafulla Kumar, who seemed very confident with her daughter’s brainpower, though seemed happy but was not astonished by the child’s brainpower. “Such records work as an encouragement for her. She can recall 5,000 physical bodies in 40 minutes and I know that. She will be attempting the record in Delhi in April.”
“I want to be a space scientist and do lot of research in the field. I want to go to space,” Meghalli said with confidence.
