Parsvnath Chess: Debashis finishes 13th

Bhubaneswar, Jan 17:  Grandmaster Debashis Das finished 13th with a total of seven points after playing out a draw in the 10^th round match of the 13^th Parsvnath Delhi International Open Chess Tournament, which concluded in New Delhi, Saturday.

In the last round, Debashis held GM Nilotpal Das in a hard fought match. Among other Orissa players, Rakesh kumar Jena registerd a victory, while Kiran Manisha Mohanty, Sidhant Mohapatra and Swayangsu Satyapragyan held their respective opponents. Utkal Ranjan Sahoo was the only player to lose his match.

Swayangsu(6.5) played out a drab draw against IM Narayanan Srinath. While, Sidhanta (5.5) drew with WFM R Vaishali. Rakesh (5) held Neelash Saha and Kiran Manisha (4) drew with R Upadhyay. Utkal (5) was outwitted by Ritviz Parab. Andrey Baryshpolets clinched the title, garnering a total of eight points in his kitty.
