Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: Grandmaster Debashis Das finished 13th with a total of seven points after playing out a draw in the 10th round match of the 13th Parsvnath Delhi International Open Chess Tournament, which concluded in New Delhi, Saturday.
In the last round, Debashis held GM Nilotpal Das in a hard fought match. Among other Orissa players, Rakesh kumar Jena registerd a victory, while Kiran Manisha Mohanty, Sidhant Mohapatra and Swayangsu Satyapragyan held their respective opponents. Utkal Ranjan Sahoo was the only player to lose his match.
Swayangsu(6.5) played out a drab draw against IM Narayanan Srinath. While, Sidhanta (5.5) drew with WFM R Vaishali. Rakesh (5) held Neelash Saha and Kiran Manisha (4) drew with R Upadhyay. Utkal (5) was outwitted by Ritviz Parab. Andrey Baryshpolets clinched the title, garnering a total of eight points in his kitty.
