Bhubaneswar, May 19: It’s always a difficult task to go school hunting for your kids. Your desire to get your child enrolled to the best institute often leads you to anxiety and stress. But, hold on. There’s seems to be some respite now as CBSE schools will now have rankings of their own. The union government will start the ranking system for the CBSE affiliated schools in the country. The schools will be graded by analyzing the quality of education imparted there. Though the ranking decision is yet to be finalized, parents, children and teachers in the city are happy with the very thought of it. Orissa POST brings you city’s reactions on the grading system.
The decision is a welcome step. The most important thing is that the ranking will be given in terms of quality education provided at these schools, instead of fancy infrastructure. At the end of the day, schools are for providing education and not entertainment.

The ranking must be done on the basis of equal parameters. Schools across the country are different from each other in terms of infrastructure and funds. The school is a place for overall development of the student. We just don’t focus on academics but are also responsible for supporting curriculum activities.
