The scene lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough to send people running for safety. After causing the commotion, the elephant calmly crossed the toll plaza almost as if enforcing its own “no toll charge” policy and wandered across the road before disappearing into the forest on the other side.
The video quickly went viral, drawing thousands of reactions online. Many social media users expressed concern over human-wildlife conflict, blaming deforestation and encroachment for such incidents. “This is what happens when you cut down forests to build roads,” one user commented. Another joked, “Brother, you should have broken the toll no one could have stopped you.” A third remarked, “The heart of that car driver must have jumped into his throat.”

The incident is a stark reminder of the increasing encounters between wild animals and humans in areas where natural habitats are shrinking. While no injuries were reported, the dramatic visuals highlight the urgent need for measures to ensure the safety of both wildlife and commuters.
