Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (OMFED) has recorded an unprecedented turnover of Rs247 crore in the first quarter of FY 2025 (from April 1 to June 30), marking the highest-ever Q1 performance in its history.
During this period, OMFED has also registered a cash profit of Rs 1.22 crore.
This robust performance builds upon the federation’s previous fiscal achievement, where it recorded Rs 1,028 crore in turnover for FY 2024, the highest annual turnover in the outfit’s history.
OMFED attributes this growth to a series of strategic initiatives, including market expansion, introduction of new products, farmer incentives, and increased milk procurement.

The organisation has outlined an ambitious target of achieving Rs 900 crore in turnover over the remaining three quarters of FY 2025, aiming for an annual turnover exceeding the previous records.
It also plans to generate a profit of more than Rs 10 crore during this period. Looking ahead, OMFED is currently exploring opportunities to expand its footprint both within the country and abroad by exporting its high-quality dairy products.
Additionally, special emphasis is being placed on increasing accessibility in rural markets.
The success is the result of the unwavering dedication of lakhs of dairy farmers and employees, the continued trust of customers, and the consistent quality of products.
The federation also acknowledges the support of cooperative societies across the state, the leadership of chairman Kishore Chandra Pradhani, the guidance of Minister Gokulananda Mallick, and the strategic direction provided by Managing Director Vijay Amruta Kulange.
