Bhubaneswar: A dedicated Santali stall, set up by Santali Saoanhed Akhada, was inaugurated at 7th Odisha State Book Festival–2025, organised by state government at Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar.
This is the only stall representing the Santali language at the fair. The stall was formally inaugurated by eminent Santali writer Rambai Hembram. Others, including Kailash Chandra Baskey, Surukuni Murmu, Minati Hansda, Sunaram Murmu, Mangat Murmu and others were present during the occasion.
The 12-day-long book festival features a wide range of Santali publications, including journals, syllabus books, reference books and educational materials in Santali (Ol Chiki) script. The organisers have urged the general public to visit the stall and make use of the opportunity to explore learning materials.
