A shocking incident has emerged from Pakistan, where a Pakistani woman has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for justice. According to reports, a woman named Nikita Nagdev has claimed that her husband is secretly getting married in Delhi. Nikita, a resident of Karachi, alleges that she married Vikram Nagdev, a Pakistani who was living in Indore on a short-term visa, according to Hindu rituals in Karachi January 26, 2020. A month later, February 26, Vikram brought her to India, turning her life upside down.

On July 9, 2020, her husband allegedly forced her to return to Pakistan on the pretext of a visa technicality, while he stayed back in India. “I kept requesting him to call me to India, but he refused every time,” Nikita said in an emotional video message.

In the video recorded from Karachi, she said, “If justice is not served today, women will lose faith in the system. Many girls face physical and mental abuse in their marital homes. I urge everyone to stand with me.”

Nikita reportedly faced distressing treatment immediately after her wedding. Upon returning to her in-laws’ home from Pakistan, she found their behaviour had completely changed.

She further alleged that during the COVID-19 lockdown, Vikram forced her to go back to Pakistan and has since refused to allow her entry into India. “Every woman deserves justice in India,” Nikita said.

Worried that he might replace her despite their legal marriage, Nikita filed a written complaint  January 27, 2025.

As the incident went viral on social media, users reacted strongly. One commented, “He’s Pakistani is this an attempt to create another border?” Another wrote, “The husband’s visa should be immediately revoked, and he should be sent to Pakistan.” A third user asked, “Why were you silent all this time? We wish you justice.”
