Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd. (ADSTL), along with Prime Aero Services LLP, is set to acquire a majority stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt. Ltd. (FSTC) at an enterprise value of Rs 820 crore, marking a significant push into aviation, defence and high-tech training infrastructure.
FSTC is India’s largest independent flight training and simulation provider, operating 11 full-flight simulators and 17 training aircraft. Certified by the DGCA and Europe’s EASA, it runs modern training centres in Gurugram and Hyderabad and also manages major flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul, Haryana.
Simulator-based training is emerging as a key growth area, particularly for defence pilot training, by cutting costs and improving safety. Adani Defence & Aerospace CEO Ashish Rajvanshi said the acquisition strengthens the group’s plan to build an integrated aviation services platform.
With FSTC joining Adani-owned Air Works and Indamer Technics, the group will span civil aircraft maintenance, general aviation and defence MRO, and end-to-end flight training.
India’s airlines are expected to induct more than 1,500 aircraft in the coming years, increasing demand for certified pilots. Government efforts to expand defence training and mission simulation are also creating new opportunities. Adani says the move supports its broader national security and aviation ambitions.
ADSTL is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd. Horizon Aero Solutions Ltd. is a joint venture between ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP, a step-down subsidiary of Adani Enterprises.
